Historian’s Corner

Hello everyone!  Welcome to the Historian’s Corner.  The Bluegrass Region PCA received our charter in 2003 with sixty-six active members.  Our geographical area covers sixty-three counties from mid to Eastern Kentucky.  Over the past twelve years, our membership has grown to 175 Regular Members and 103 Family & Affiliate Members, making our total membership 278 (as of Jan 2020).   So how did we get here?

The Historian’s Corner is being created to preserve our region’s history for access by our current members.  The Historian’s Corner is under construction and will be under construction for awhile.  Please check in periodically for updates.  If you would like to submit any pictures, stories, or other historical ideas or information please contact the BGS PCA Historian.

As the Historian, I will be working with our past and present officers and board members to maintain historical records and provide storage for the region’s management, financial, and activities files and data. Some of this information will be shared here within the Historian’s Corner for all club members to view.  As we celebrate special milestones (such as, annual member’s appreciation events, socials and anniversaries) our historical archives will help us reflect on the past and look to the future.

Some of the initial items that I will be gathering for the Historian’s Corner include, Creation of the Bluegrass Region PCA, History of the Bylaws, Past and Present Officers and Board Members, Number of Members Per Year, Charter Members, Special Events (Hosting Executive Council, Anniversaries and our involvement in the Keeneland Concours d’Elegance), Club Awards, Rumbles and Photos.  Please contact the BGS PCA Historian if you see any errors or have additional information to share.
