Club Photographer
“I’m Jamie Donaldson, long time resident of Georgetown, and Porsche owner since buying a 1973 914 from my Dad in 2002. As the original owner he took great care of her and I am continuing the same, joined Bluegrass Region in 2003. Since then I have also acquired a Cayman and a Cayenne, so I’m a single brand owner. This is my second term as Director, and as a retired professional photographer I will continue as Bluegrass Region photographer. Bluegrass Region members have been a welcoming group, and I actively enjoy the events and the fellowship of members.”
Newsletter Editor
My name is Steve Krolak and I recently emerged from PCA hibernation and joined the BGS board as the newsletter editor. I have been a member of PCA since February 1996. Initially, my focus was high performance driving events and PCA club racing, but I have found the club provides much more than tracking. I drive a 1985 911 coupe so I have become very familiar with troubleshooting strange electrical issues in 1980s Porsches. I am an avid motorsport fan, with a primary focus on F1. My wife, Jenny, and I enjoy traveling the world and visiting our two sons who live in Boston and Seattle.
Past President
“I’m Ken Hold and the current Past President. I joined PCA in 1999 at the Southern Indiana Region. Since then I’ve been a member of the Ohio Valley Region and a Charter member in formng the Bluegrass Region in 2003. Past roles include: For Bluegrass Region I was the Charter Secretary and several term President. For National I’ve held roles of Zone 13 Representative and Chair of National Nominating Committee. I’ve also assisted the Bluegrass region in starting the Keeneland Concours d’Elegance and leading the First Saturday Cars & Coffee Events. I like playing with cars (especially Porsches) and enjoy supporting others in having fun with the club and their own cars.”
WebMaster and Historian
“Hello, I am Julie Woods. I am the club’s webmaster and historian. I have been a member of the club from the beginning and am a Charter Member. I am interested in capturing the history of our club and building the Historian’s Corner on our website. Please let me know if you have any stories/memorabilia/history of our club that you would like to share. I do share the love of beautiful cars. I remember at 15 years old sitting on the corner watching cars go by with my friend saying “I am going to get a Mercedes 380 SL”. I do have a thing for convertibles. I got my MB “280” SL from Europe when I got my first real job. Thanks to my husband, I learned how special our Porsches are and the people who drive them. I am grateful for all the special people I have met through our club. I also have a TR6 (remember, I said I had a thing for convertibles).”
PCA Zone 13 Rep
“I would like to say hello to all the PCA members of Zone 13. In 2009 I joined PCA and it has been a great experience. Many years ago after college, I started buying worn out Euro cars which led to Alfa Romeos. I have always enjoyed wrenching cars back to health and autocrossing. During that time, I also became involved in the Alfa Romeo Owners Club. It required me to drive 2 hours to meetings and events, but it also allowed me to serve as Pres of the Alfa region for a period of time for a small group of Alfa enthusiasts. Eventually, I had a “straying eye” and a lightly used 2006 Cayman S began to call my name. Very soon after buying the 2006 Cayman S in late 2008, I joined PCA only to find my PCA region (Southern Indiana) was no longer active and none of the club phone numbers were answered. I was quite disappointed and very much wanted to participate in PCA in my home town. After a couple months I received a call from the Zone Rep, Ken Hold, asking if I would like to be placed into another region. My answer was “how about there being a chance to get SIR going again?”. Much to Ken’s credit, he offered counsel and gave me a few months to see what could be done. There were a few others that had recently joined and they were asked to fill out the officer positions and off it went. I became Pres and following have continued to serve as the Events Chair and the Membership Chair while the membership has grown. My past Porsches have been the 2006 Cayman S, a 1990 911 Carrera 4 which turned a good profit towards buying a low miles 2016 Spyder. My current Porsches are a 2015 Cayman GTS (signed by Wolfgang Porsche at 2015 Parade) and the 2016 Spyder. Much to my surprise, I have been honored to be considered and asked to serve as Zone 13 Rep. Cheryl and I look forward to meeting and interacting with the regions of our Zone. Whatever I can do to help the people of Zone 13, I will be happy to serve the regions of Zone 13.”
