Meet the Board – Officers

James Diehl

James Diehl Member since 2017 happily driving a Basalt Black 911 Turbo Cab and for the course I enjoy a Sapphire 981 Cayman GTS. I served a few years as Track Chair, have worked the Keeneland Concours in Paddock, served as Paddock Chair as well as Hospitality Chair. I love Porsche and the people and encourage everyone to take part in one of the many events. All are posted in multiple locations like the website, Newsletter and Facebook. The more that I became involved in the Bluegrass Region the more fun I had with my cars. Now I am privileged to carry the torch as the 2024 President. I look forward to meeting many of you at one of the club events and as always- Remember to get in your Porsche and know, ‘It’s not the destination, It’s the journey!”

I am relatively new to the Bluegrass PCA, I have been a Porsche fan since the age of 10. At that young age I would ride my bike into town just to peer through the Porsche dealership window to look at the beautiful line up of the different models on the showroom floor. Fast forward some 55+ years and I am still an avid fan of anything Porsche and now a Porsche owner.

A Physical Therapist by profession, I recently retired from healthcare after nearly 40 years serving as Corporate Director of Rehabilitation Services and Cancer Care Services at Ephraim McDowell Health in Danville. My wife and I currently operate an equine facility , In Danville , KY with a focus on sport horses and boarding.

My hobbies include cars, and I fancy myself as a shade tree mechanic, especially fond of old diesel Mercedes and anything Porsche. When not playing with cars you can find me in my woodworking shop, somewhere on the farm, or spending time with my grandkids. My wife and have been married 42 years and have two daughters, one a Pediatric Dentist with a practice in Lawrenceburg, KY and the other
Physician who practices in Lexington, KY.
