Well, First Saturday Cars & Coffee kicked off 2025 on January 4 with a chilly start at the Blue Grass Stockyards Regional Marketplace. The initial temperature was 15 degrees and climbed to a still cool 24 degrees. Even the free hot coffee and donuts were not enough to tempt local gearheads! I guess the early start of the UK vs Florida home game in Rupp didn’t help attendance either. We did have nine vehicles and ten attendees brave the cold. For vehicles, there were one of each: Lincoln, Mustang, Porsche, Volvo, Subaru, and four trucks/SUVs. I’m not including the six semi tractors parked on the lot! For the attendees there were club members from Corvette, Porsche, Motorheads, Mustang, and Sterling British. It’s always fun to have cross talk at the tables.
Future monthly FSCC gatherings will be February 1 and March 1 at the Stockyards/Marketplace.
You are welcome to come on out and play in the “Yard.” It doesn’t matter what you drive, you just gotta love cars!
